Old First Church of Springfield, MA is one of the oldest churches in the United States. At the historic center of the city, Old First Church of Springfield, MA has been a center of light since 1637, a year after Springfield was settled. For many years the meeetinghouse, located on what was known as “Meeting House Square”, (now Court Square) was the only building used for religious services in the community.
