The Tollgate Hill Inn is a charming, historic, country inn located in the hills of Northwest Connecticut. The Captain William Bull Tavern 1745, which is on the National Register of Historic Places houses 6 overnight guest rooms, some having fireplaces, wide plank chestnut floors, canopy beds in a Colonial motif. Each of the three dining rooms has unique charm with dark wood paneling in the Tap Room accompanied by candlelight and a crackling fire while the Litchfield dining room is decorated with a wall mural depicting the town in the 1800's. Upstairs the historic Ballroom can seat 40 diners or can accommodate a business meeting. Other buildings on the site include the Historic Schoolhouse 1789 with 4 adjoining guest rooms that can accommodate an entire extended family. Also the newest building 1991, the Captain William Bull House, has 10 guest rooms decorated in a Country motif, with a large banquet facility on the ground floor 110 capacity for weddings, parties, and business functions.

Captain William Bull House RoomLocated in the Captain William Bull House, each room has a private bath, TV, walkout terrace and a small sitting area. Queen rooms also have a pullout, which is available for an extra charge.
Captain William Bull Tavern
These Rooms are located on the second floor of the 1745 Captain William Bull Tavern and Restaurant. Each Room has one double bed in it and a fireplace with a private Bath and a TV. Rooms are also equipped with air conditioning.

Twin Room located in the Captain William Bull House, each room has 2 twin beds, TV, private bath and a walk out terrace.
1745 Captain William Bull Tavern
Three rooms located on the third floor of the 1745 Captain William Bull Tavern, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. Two rooms in the Schoolhouse the oldest Schoolhouse in Berlin, CT and was moved here and renovated into rooms. Each Room has private Bath, TV, airconditioning and telephone.
Captain William Bull Canopy Room
4 of the 5 Suites are located in the Captain William Bull House and each have a queen canopy bed, fireplace, TV, VCR, private bath, small walkout terrace and a couch that folds out to a full size bed for additional people (at an additional cost). There is also a small fridge in each room.
